However, in my opinion it has three main drawbacks: 1) The roll and pitch springs are too strong which makes it hard to perform smooth manoeuvres; 2) the yoke has a 90º move angle (should be 180º); and 3) Some units have a large dead center (fixable with a Leobodnar BU0836A controller although its pricy). In this video we will try to sort drawback 1) by replacing the original spring mechanism with some rubber bands. The end result is a much smoother experience. The pitch re-centers itself, and the roll offers some resistance. In real life if AP is not engaged the pilot should hold the yoke at all times, so in my opinion this mod improves the realism.
