Liv Greene: "I Guess There's Always Next Year"

Featuring Jobi Riccio and Beane. Liv writes, "In the winter of 2019, my dear friend Jobi Riccio and I got together in her Boston apartment on a cold December evening to write. We were watching the snow fall outside and bitching (our favorite activity) when we realized an hour and a half had gone by and we hadn't even opened our guitar cases. We were too busy venting about how exhausting and heavy the holiday season can be. We half-heartedly joked about using our holiday angst for the song, and before too long the deed had been done. We had written a song sarcastically titled: 'I Guess There's Always Next Year.' Too bad we pranked ourselves by writing that line about 2020." Here in 2022, Beane joins Liv and Jobi for a version that's just as frank, but somehow deeply comforting. Recorded at Compass Records in Nashville, Tennessee, September 18, 2022.
