Nike Athletics West and Slip/Board Lasting

This is a vintage Nike video that was recorded in Betamax format that I have digitized. Nike Inc. sent it out to its retailers all over the country to help promote and advertise its involvement in various sporting events. This particular video is about the origin of the famous Athletics West Track and Field Club. It shows the Club’s original facilities and philosophy as Nike sponsored it to give USA track athletes a competitive life after college. It also contains what Nike called “Nike News” which in this video is about running shoe construction and the difference between slip vs. board lasting!
