Standard vs. Side-by-Side: What's the Difference?

0:00 - Intro 0:16 - Non-Dom Trim vs. Carp 0:34 - Carpenter's Tape Pouch Standard and Side-by-Side 0:54 - Standard bag overview 1:36 - Side-by-Side bag overview 2:21 - Outro Website: https://www.badgertoolbelts.com/ Instagram:   / badgertoolbelts   Today, let's take a look at the difference between our side-by-side and our standard bags. In one of our previous videos. I talked about the difference between our carpenter's set and our trim carpenter's set, and the biggest difference there is the tape pouch on top. Since the trim carpenter's set does not offer the tape pouch, you're only going to find this feature on the carpenter's set, but the actual cargo space inside is going to be the same. But on our carpenter set here in the tape pouch you will notice this elastic banding meant to hold a nail set. Some guys put a nail set in, some guys like to put in drill bits that they use it's all up to you. It's personal preference, but they're only on the carpenter's set. With that said, let's take a look at the difference between the actual side-by-side and the standard bags. Let's start out taking a look at our standard bag. On the back of our standard bag, you're going to have your bar slot here. You can use the bar slot for a pry bar or for a cat's paw Whatever your tool of preference is. On the front side here, you're gonna have your speed square slot. You're going to have another tool slot down below, then open cargo space for whatever you want to put in. Down below here, you're going to have another tool slot. This one's a little narrow, too, but you can put a mini square in here or anything that really fits. And then, of course, your fasteners pouch. Over here, you're going to have two tool slots and on the other side you're actually going to have some slide through slots. So these are open at the bottom. So if anything sharp or anything can poke out, that's long. That's going to accommodate that tool. Moving on, we can take a look at the side-by-side bag. Now, the side-by-side bag gets its name from the dual side-by-side fastener pouches on the front, but the back is the same. So you have the bar slot here for your pry bar or your cat's paw. You have your speed squared slot on the front. Another tool slot down below and open cargo space. Then again, you have two more tool slots in your fastener pouches and of course your fastener bag area here. Now because you have the double fastener pouches, you do lose out on the slide through slots on the side as well as the extra tool slots here. That's kind of the compromise you have to make and what makes it your preference. If you need the extra storage space for Fasteners, side-by-side is the way to go. If you can get away with just the one, there's nothing wrong with the standard set. I hope this video helped you understand the difference between our standard set bags and our side-by-side set bags. Thank you for watching and have a great day.
