You all must be busy in making Diwali delicacies. So here is a very easy and simple recipe for you, khoya burfi. It needs very few ingredients and turns out perfect like the one that we get at Halwai shop. We don’t need milk powder or condensed. It gets ready in just 10 minutes. It tastes fantastic and looks nice. You can try this recipe for the Diwali and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe. Ingredients: • 500 gm Khoya • 1 cup powdered Sugar • Sliced Pistachios • Sliced Almonds • Few Saffron strands (Optional) Method: • Heat up a pan on medium heat and add khoya. • You can grate the khoya if you want. • When khoya begins to melt, roast on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes. Stir it continuously. • When ghee begins to ooze out form khoya take a small quantity and roll it. • If it comes together nicely it means khoya is roasted well. • Turn off the gas and let the khoya cool down completely. • Add powdered sugar and mix well. • You can add cardamom powder or Kevada essence or rose essence if you want. • You also can add color if you want. • Line up a tray with butter paper at the base and spread few dry nuts, saffron. • Adding saffron is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want. • Transfer the mixture into the tray and spread it evenly. • Let the mixture set for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. • You can transfer it into freeze if you want it to set quickly. • Loosen the edges and flip the burfi over into a dish. • Cut the burfi into size and shape you want. • Khoya burfi is all ready.
