I had a very intermittent voltage issue that slowly got worse. I suspected either alternator diode or internal regulator issue with the old Delco-Remy 65 amp alternator. But that wasn't the only issue. I corrected several small problems along the way which were all found during the process of the Balmar install. I also had to figure out if the used Balmar components I purchased were serviceable. The old Balmar ARS-4 ended up being dead so I sprung for the latest Balmar external regulator MC618. In the end the new system is working great and should handle the Lifepo4 lithium system I will be doing in the future.
