How to Use a Pothos Plant in Fish Aquarium

You can use a Pothos plant in your fish aquarium by cutting a clipping of the Pothos plant and adding it to the water in your fish aquarium. It is important that you do not set the leaves of the Pothos plant submerged in the water whatsoever. The Pothos plant leaves do not like to touch the water so only have the stem and the roots inside of your aquarium. Make sure to give the Pothos adequate amounts of light because that is huge when it comes to feeding and having your Pothos plant grow. You can add a pot of Pothos to your aquarium by removing the root structure from the pot and removing the soil so that you can add those clean routes to the aquarium. It’s important that you thoroughly clean the soil from the route structure so that you don’t get that in your fish aquarium. Soil does not do well in fish tanks and that is a fact. You should consider raising your aquarium light 5 to 7 inches above the aquarium at self to feed the Pothos plant some light. If you have to solely rely on a window giving your Pothos enough light that may not be enough. The Pothos plant still may grow from the light from your window but why not just raise your aquarium light and allow it to feed off of that light. Once you add your Pothos clipping to the fish tank after about a month or so you should start to see some route growth. It takes much longer than what people may think it does to grow roots. The plant has to adjust to the new circumstance and figure out the scheduling of the lighting and so forth.
