Hi, this one is the fifth part about the making of the my personal project the "King Vulture" or "Zopilote Rey", you can see the finish result of all process here: http://www.blenderartists.org/forum/s... The motivation of this project is make something from nature that represent my nation (Colombia) , was initially going to make the condor of Andes , but I found this one more interesting because the colors had (yellow, red, black , almost tricolor ) . made with blender 2.69. ----------------------- OVERVIEW PROCESS----------------------- For this process, I use the GSLS mode and the add on "paint layer", for paint and see how function directly the specular map, The Hemi lamp is very usefull for see the behavior of glossy. I create another material, for exclusive use for paint the textures on gsls mode. You can made this withouth the add on, for this is necessary create a texture, activate the gsls mode, assing the texture for spec map to material, on Mapping tab asing UV, and Influence tab desactivate the color on difusse option, and activate the intensity and color of Specular option. during the excercice I try use textures for prove if the brightness looks how the skin of king vulture.
