Disney Fantasy, Southern Caribbean Cruise, July 2024. Embarkation Day! Join us for a 10-night sailing on the beautiful Disney Fantasy! We are so excited to share this vlog series. The Disney Fantasy is our very favorite among all the Disney ships. This trip was a celebration of our 20th wedding anniversary and was our first Pearl sailing! We arrived at Port Canaveral for check-in. The terminal was bustling, and there were countless Pearl and Platinum cruisers waiting to board. After a quick photo stop, we made our way through the Mickey ears and onto the ship. One of our cruise highlights is being welcomed aboard by the Cast Members! We opted for lunch at Animator's Palate where we enjoyed our favorite embarkation day foods- empanadas, Caesar salad and pennette pasta. The cheesecake is a must! For this cruise, we opted for a verandah on deck 6. Stateroom 6018 is in the forward section of the ship. We loved the location and ease of access to other parts of the ship. The room accommodates four with a queen bed, sofa bed and Pullman bunk. The split bathroom is a perk on Disney Cruise Line. There was ample drawer and closet space. We were easily able to store our luggage beneath the bed. The room was comfortable for our family and we felt we had plenty of space. Embarkation day is always busy. After Muster Drill we made our way to the Sail Away Party. The characters were adorable and the Cast Members did a fantastic job when the horns sounded in the middle of the show. Before long, we were officially sailing off on our adventure! There was no evening show for night one though Descendants was playing in the theater. We opted for some Disney tunes trivia and a nice sunset walk around deck 4 before dinner at Royal Court. The French menu is not one of our favorites but we easily found menu items we enjoyed including the leek and potato soup, brie cheese and dessert! We ended the evening after dinner as we were all exhausted from such a busy day, though excited about all the fun to come!
