Subscribe for more DIY's!: http://bit.ly/subthesorrygirls Welcome back to Project Profit, the series where Rachael takes used items and turn them into profits for a good cause. Any money made from this series will be donated to non-profit organizations :) In our previous episode, Rach discovered some vintage chairs for $6 each, which she restored to their original ~glory~ but found them to be a bit more valuable than she initially thought. In this episode, Rachael enlisted the help of local vintage expert, @MrVintageToronto. He assessed the chairs and valued them at $300 to $500. He graciously agreed to help us sell them, and the proceeds will be donated to charity. We also have a stunning vintage piece our landlord gifted us – an Art Deco-era storage unit with a unique planter bucket. The restoration process was defs a learning curve but stay tuned because the reveal is insane! Also make sure you wait until the end for updates on our donation progress. If you have any suggestions for non-profit organizations, please leave them in the comments below. __________________________________ MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO: Vintage Seller - / mrvintagetoronto __________________________________ VIDEO CHAPTERS: 0:00 - intro 1:31 - authenticating restored vintage chair set 3:42 - selling refurbished MCM Italian Chairs second hand 4:41 - scoring an art deco credenza for FREE 6:05 - 1920's art deco storage unit restoration 7:03 - paint stripping & sanding vintage furniture 8:59 - how to make homemade wood filler 10:12 - staining the wood 11:01 - restoring a vintage corroded planter bucket 14:24 - final reveal 14:56 - profit update! __________________________________ VIDEO CREDITS Host & Creative : Rachael Nyhuus Producer : Nina Pikula Video Editors: Nick Liske & Justin Abalos Social Media : Andrea Zombori & Melanie Parkinson __________________________________ OTHER PLATFORMS @thesorrygirls everywhere!
