Designing / Constructing / Building a Rabbit Run from standard wire meshstock. Would be a good solution for other small pets too. IT IS A LONG AND QUITE DULL VIDEO :o) but hopefully thorough enough to be useful. You might want to start at 3m40s... Apologies for the voice-over cutting out in a few places, nothing critical is missed out! We made a 6'x3' main run, with two 3' tunnels and one 4' tunnel, together with an 8' piece of drainage pipe. There's also a 2' tunnel to connect to the hutch. Hardware came from: http://www.fhbrundle.co.uk/ We used: 3 x 6'x3' sheets 12g (Run Lid, 2x run ends and 2' tunnel, 2x 3' tunnels) 1 x 6'x4' sheet 12g (run main sides) 1 x 8'x4' sheet 12g (4' tunnel, corner boxes, extra for hatches etc.) 1 x 3'x6m roll 16g (flooring) As mentioned, the 2.5mm steel is pretty hard work to cut and shape, so be prepared. For the tunnels you could have easily used something with smaller wire. I'd NOT suggest going any thicker than 2.5mm as it'd be hard to shape by hand. The setup pictured took about 2 days to complete, but the corner boxes added to the work, the main run bit was quite simple. Best of luck if you want to give this a try!
