Sharjah UAE News: Couple Camps Out at Dubai Immigration Firm After Failed Canada Residency Promise A Sharjah couple camped out at a Dubai immigration firm's office for four days after the company failed to secure their permanent residency in Canada and refused to refund their money. RB and SB paid CAD 40,000 (approx. Dh106,958) over three years with no updates or refunds. They first applied under the Canadian Atlantic Immigration Programme (AIP) in 2019, which didn’t succeed. Later, they were advised to apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), but after their last payment of CAD 15,000 (Dh40,100) in October, the firm stopped responding. In desperation, they occupied the firm’s Plaza Building office in Deira, Dubai, for four days, demanding answers. Despite their efforts, the firm’s staff refused to comment when Khaleej Times visited, and the couple is now considering legal action. This incident is part of a larger issue, with other clients, including a Pakistani couple and Mohammad Javed from Oman, also alleging that the firm failed to deliver on their immigration promises.
