Instant Rava Idly Recipe: Oil - 2 tbsp + For Greasing Mustard Seeds - ½ tsp Asafoetida - A Pinch Chana Dal - 1 tbsp Urad Dal - 1 tbsp Curry Leaf (chopped) - 2 Sprigs Cashew Nuts (small bits) - 2 tbsp Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 Inch Green Chilli (finely chopped) - 2 nos Rava - 1 Cup Curd - ½ Cup Water - ½ Cup + ¼ Cup Baking Soda - ½ tsp Coriander Leaves (finely chopped) - 2 tbsp Salt- 1 tsp Cooking Instructions: 1. Heat oil and splutter the mustard seeds. 2. Add the chana dal and urad dal and allow them to roast well. 3. Add the asafoetida powder and curry leaves. 4. Add the chopped ginger and green chilli and saute well. 5. Add the rava and roast the mixture on a low flame for 5 mins. 6. Allow the mixture to cool down. 7. Add the salt, curd, water, and baking soda, and chopped coriander leaves. Whisk to combine well. 8. Rest the batter for 15-20 mins. 9. Adjust the consistency with a little over ¼ Cup of water to make a thick but flowing batter. 10. Grease an idly mold and add the batter. 11. Steam the idlis for 10-12 mins. 12. Cool for a minute or two, De-mold with a spoon, and serve hot. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kaara Chutney Recipe: Gingelly Oil - 2 tbsp Urad Dal - 2 tsp Chana Dal - 2 tsp Dried Red Chilli - 4 nos Garlic - 4 cloves Onion (sliced) - ½ Cup Tomato (roughly cut) - ½ Cup Tamarind - 1 tsp (small portion) Salt - ¼ tsp For the Tempering Oil - 1 tsp Mustard Seeds - ¼ tsp Split Urad Dal - ¼ tsp Curry Leaves - 6 nos Cooking Instructions: 1. Heat the oil in a pan and add the urad dal, chana dal and dry red chillies. When the dals start to change their colour, add the garlic and onion. 2. When the onion turns translucent, add the tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes have softened. Add salt and tamarind and turn off the stove. 3. Cool slightly and blend into a paste. Transfer it into a bowl. 4. In a small pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds and split urad dal. When the mustard seeds start to crackle, add the curry leaves. Remove from the heat after 10 seconds. 5.
