The Untold Story of the Afghan Refugees | Diana Nazari | TEDxYouth@AKAHyderabad

In early 2018, Diana's family sought refuge in India due to the deteriorating security conditions in Afghanistan. Since then, she has been interested in topics involving refugees and their rights, especially education. She firmly believes that education is a fundamental right of every human being, and no circumstances should stand in the way of a child’s dream. She thinks that being a refugee is not a choice, but a tragedy of losing home. This has inspired her to let the world hear their voices through her voice. Having grown up in a war-zone, Diana Nazari is an inspiring Afghan girl, currently studying at the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad. Before joining the Academy, Diana encountered many life-changing experiences that have moulded her into a strong and spirited young girl. She is passionate about bringing to light struggles that Afghans are going through, particularly women's rights and the refugee crisis.
