Thiruvananthapuram: The dawn-to-dusk hartal called by 30 dalit organisations is progressing in the state. Dalit organisations are staging protest march at Thiruvananthapuram. It is reported that protesters are blocking vehicles at Thiruvananthapuram. Dalit activists are laying siege on road at Thiruvananthapuram. Meanwhile, Police arrested dalit activist and Aadivasi Gothra Mahasabha leader Geethanandan for allegedly blocking vehicles at Kochi. Another 15 people who were accompanying Geethanandan were also held. Activists namely CS Murali and VC Jenni were also arrested. But Geethanandan responded that they had not blocked vehicles.
