There are pros and cons in my experience. Bike Trailer Pros: - For longer trips they are definitely better. Your dog has more room to move around or lay down with space to spare. You can even throw a dog bed in there for comfort. - Can fit bigger dogs. They also allow for multiple small dogs if under the total weight limit. ----------------- Bike Trailer Cons: - Heavier, harder to set up & break down, and also more difficult to navigate on city streets. - Storage can be a challenge for smaller apartments. But they do fold down which is a help. - And perhaps the worst disadvantage is that rocks & debris from the road can be flicked from your rear tire into the trailer and in your dog’s face.
