Double Knitted Stockinette Stitch knitting tutorial for knitting this stitch flat and in the round.

Step by step easy to follow instructions on knitting this unique stitch, the double knitted stockinette stitch. It has the beautiful stockinette stitch present on both sides of the fabric. It is double thick for a super warm garment. It is also completely reversible and does not curl as regular stockinette stitching does. Full instructions are included in this video for doing this stitch on straight needles as well as knitting in the round. This makes for a double thick extra warm brim of a hat or cuffs. You can also do this stitch for a thick warm scarf or a simple double thick potholder for an easy first project. Remember that when you knit this stitch you need to cast on approx. twice as many stitches as what you normally would for regular stockinette stitching to achieve the same width.
