AFK Arena First Impressions [ALL Stages of Chapter 1 Ranhorn City]

Let's have some first impressions by finishing all stages of the first chapter (Ranhorn City) of AFK Arena, a role playing game made by Lilith Games. Before anything, let's talk about the plot. The demon invasion looms. Esperia must be saved! Call upon heroes from 7 unique factions, train your heroes, forge weaponry and unite with players from all around the globe. You have to send back those demonic hordes from where they came! So AFK stands for "Away From Keyboard" and AFK Arena is indeed sort of an idle game, however different from a pure one. Idle games or clicker games are popular for satisfying the need of players to play a game without having to invest too much time in it. AFK Arena does play itself, kind of, as we will see in this video. You will find AFK Arena immersive, even when it plays automatically most of the time. This can be explained by its attractive artwork. The cartoony style gives the game an advantage over its competitors. As the title says, there is a battle arena in this game, which means hero collection! Talking about heroes, they really can explain the success of AFK Arena. The details and the artwork of the heroes are astounding! They all look fantastic and their battle animations are similar to the ones seen in an epic movie coming from Hollywood, so you can just sit back and watch all those animations, in a relax mode. The world of AFK Arena is very beautiful, and full of epic tales, exciting adventures and rewards. Both PvE and PvP are covered, with various quests, challenges, and a storyline campaign. The players are awarded resources like gold and diamonds. Also, heroes gear is a big part of AFK Arena, in terms of gameplay. AFK Arena heroes level up constantly, even when you are offline and don't open the game, so the experience is obtained passively. Obviously, if you play in an active way, then you will progress faster. You can also speed up or slow down the game to accommodate your own pace. You really just have to focus a bit on recruitment and other out of combat stuff. AFK Arena is one of the best party builder RPG. You don't control the battles, but they go fast so you won't have to grind a boring way like in many games. The daily quests can be completed in 30 minutes so this game is cool to play if you don't have much time. Whenever you have time to play, there will always be something to do so that's pretty cool. There are a lot of game modes, the artwork is great. The User Interface is easy to use. The rewards for battle are pretty balanced. It's not a full pay2win app, you don't need to spend coin or anything to revive your heroes, you don't have to buy armor because you can advance them from junk armor that has a pretty good drop rate. Of course you can pay to progress faster in the game, but AFK Arena encourages you to have a healthy relationship with it by rewarding you for just having it installed and logging in from time to time. I like the fact that you can gain progress as time goes by no matter whether you pay for it or not. And summoning scrolls or diamonds can be available from the daily/weekly quests, boss hunting or the events. Those scrolls are helpful to summon heroes. The gameplay is not tricky at all to understand. But you still can mix between hundreds of individual character abilities and a faction system so the advance player can find some pleasure playing this game. One of the few problems is the lack of balance between characters. Some characters are just too powerful versus others. Another issue is the sudden change in difficulty. Some players would say that the difficulty changes from 3 to 10 in a matter of seconds. As for the music, it's clearly lacking variety. You will hear a basic music for each tab and a battle music or two and that's it. These will instantly repeat when you switch between tabs and even between areas in that tab. The lack of variety is also true for character voices. Each character has a line or two, and the game make these lines repeat with every click or movement! Finally, I didn't appreciate much that the advertising for the game has nothing to do with the real gameplay.
