Happy New Year 2019! A few hours of freight train action seen at Lichfield Trent Valley railway station, Staffordshire, England. A good amount of freight traffic captured with most services having class 66s for haulage but with a nice bit of electric action seen including a pair of Freightliner class 86s & 90s plus DB Cargo UK 90s. A screaming FL class 70 and thrashing DRS 68 is also featured. Enjoy! The lower level of the station (Platform 1 & 2) serve purpose for the West Coast Main Line (WCML) which is one of Britain's major rail network's linking London Euston all the way up to Glasgow Central and Edinburgh, with services also for Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Liverpool and Manchester to name the major. The stations single higher level platform, platform 3, provides service for the Cross City Line which begins at Lichfield T.V and heads to the lines terminus stations of Redditch and the recent extension of the route to Bromsgrove, all trains run via Birmingham New Street.
