A Midnight Jaunt into the Abandoned Clyde Shaft

For my first exploration with Michael, we headed out to the abandoned Clyde Shaft at midnight. This particular vertical shaft is one of several on the property and is around 1000 feet deep. After documenting the Clyde Shaft headframe and its hoist-house, we headed over to the downward sloping Clyde Shaft haulage tunnel that eventually intersected with the vertical shaft at the 400-Level or so. On our way down, we explored a large stope that we climbed up into. We spent several hours in this abandoned mine documenting everything including a dead coral snake, numerous ore chutes, and other things. #ExploringAbandonedMines #AbandonedMines #MineExploring #UndergroundExploration
