PDQ Tandem Surfline at La Vernia Car Wash in La Vernia TX

Today I'm up at the La Vernia car wash in La Vernia TX along US-87 (right next door to a Circle K gas station), and I'm here to check out another PDQ Tandem Surfline. This system was installed in either late 2020 or early 2021 (before the HEB up the road got its own Surfline, how do you like that?) replacing an old PDQ Laserwash G5-s that was first installed sometime in early 2000s following the build of this car wash. There's nothing too special about this system, it's mostly just a stock standard Tandem Surfline that for the most part is no different than the one at HEB a few miles down the road (   • PDQ Tandem Surfline at HEB Fuel Gas S...  ), but this one is notably programmed a bit differently than most other Surflines I've come across. I bought the top dollar car wash which came out to $14, and wash quality I would give this an 8/10, undercarriage was very good (note how the wheel scrubbers are running along with the undercarriage unit similar to the older ProTouch predecessors), the presoak application was good (side note, I do think these apply presoak much better and effectively than the ProTouch predecessors, especially along the top), the soft touch cycle did do good for the most part, though the side brushes did seem to have a late start after the top brush did its cycle (but I do love how once it gets to the back of my truck's cab and over the bed, it immediately switches to the overhead sprayers, that's some very clever programming), the tri-foam pass was very weird, as it seemed like it was applied during the soft touch cycle's pass forward, and as a result, it wasn't applied very effectively, and did seem a bit watered down, the wheel scrubbers did do good, but only those were spraying during that cycle and not the actual side blasters for some reason, and interestingly, this gave another top brush cycle for some reason, the post rinse cycle and surface protection cycles did good, the lava falls feature for the sealant wax which gave a decent coating (though you may notice it's a little light on chemicals), the spot free rinse cycles went good, and the drying cycle (weirdly without flash dry) went good with 3 cycles of drying. I hope you've enjoyed the video and stay tuned for more to come.
