Iconic Madgaon Skybus Metro Track Being Demolished

18 July 2015, Madgaon, GA. The Madgaon Skybus Metro project was Konkan Railway's innovation at its best, but marred by an accident somewhere around 2004 when one person was killed and several injured during a test run. Post this accident, the project was effectively abandoned, and in 2013, it was decided that this 1 mile long test track would be demolished. That process has reached the final stages now, with barely a few hundred metres of this landmark remaining. For many years, Madgaon Railway Station was synonymous with this test track.
