#pridemonth2023 #lgbtqia #politics #taiwan For the Pride Month in June 2023, we explored the topic of LGBTQIA+ representation in Taiwan’s political landscape together with 4 interviewees working in politics or civil society organizations. We talked with them about the current developments in Taiwan regarding LGBTQIA+ representation in politics, the progress that has been made to achieve greater visibility and acceptance for queer people in politics but also about the existing challenges and future visions. Our interviewee in this video is Miao Poya, a Taiwanese politician who was elected as councilor during the 2018 local elections.
