2011年の東日本大震災により、巨大津波によって町が大きく流された南三陸町。その壊滅的な被害を乗り越え、町は復興の道を歩み続けてきました。この動画では、空から見たその復興の足跡と、現在の町の姿を映像としてお届けします。 冒頭に映し出される円錐形の「祈りの丘」は、震災で亡くなった800人以上の方々を追悼する場所として設けられました。その場所の荘厳さと平和な雰囲気が、強く心に響きました。早朝に撮影された霧に覆われた街並みはとても神秘的でした。動画の終盤に映る「南三陸ホテル観洋」は、岸壁の上に風格を持って立ち続けています。震災当時大打撃を受けながらも、多くの被災者を受け入れ、支えの場所となったそうです。 南三陸町のこれからの歩みを静かに見守りたいと思います。 震災をご存じない方（特に外国の方）のために震災直後の南三陸町の様子を収めた動画のリンクを以下に示します。    • 宮城県沿岸部の被害・空撮 ［震災翌日］   [English version] The town of Minamisanriku was swept away by the massive tsunami that followed the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011. Overcoming the devastating damage, the town has continued on its path of recovery. This video presents the footprints of the recovery seen from the sky and the current state of the town in a memorable image. The conical "Hill of Prayer" shown at the beginning of the video was established as a place of mourning for the more than 800 people who died in the disaster. The solemnity and peaceful atmosphere of the place strongly touched my heart. The fog-covered cityscape shot early in the morning was very mysterious. The "Minamisanriku Hotel Kanyo" seen at the end of the video continues to stand stately on the quay. Although hit hard at the time of the earthquake and tsunami, the hotel has hosted many disaster victims and has become a place of support. We would like to quietly watch over the future progress of Minamisanriku.
