Please note, I don't have one specific model or brand of air cleaner. As the jugs on my bike are slightly out a alignment, the OEM air filter system works, as it has a little bit of play in it. However, air cleaners that have a rigid backing plate don't work so well with jugs that are barely out of alignment, as the breather bolts do not line up correctly. Thus, my 'air cleaner' is a hybrid of parts from Amazon, DK Customs, and Home Depot, haha. Blockhead exclusive! BUT, I've listed all the parts to build out exactly what I have if you so choose, from original kit to external hose style breather system. Taking off the stock air cleaner is going to be the same for most Sportsters (mine's a 2013 Iron 883,) but depending on what air cleaner you go with, follow the installation instructions provided to you by the manufacturer. As always, use caution when doing mods to your bike! If you're not comfortable doing a mod, get some help from a friend who is, or see a mechanic.
