I love this simple white bread from my childhood. It is just perfect for breakfast, when you want to spread butter on it and enjoy it with honey or jam. When it was getting stale in a couple of days, we would use it to make sweet toast (soak it in milk and eggs and cook it in butter). BREAKFAST BREAD 350g (2. 3/4 cups) all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon sugar 7g (2.5 tsp) active dry yeast 210ml (3/4 cup) warm water 30ml (3tbsp) vegetable oil (avocado oil) (for White Lily flour: 350g +3-4 tablespoons Measure out flour and sift it in a bowl. ( I used stand-up mixer, it saves a lot of time) Add dry yeast, salt and sugar and mix all dry ingredients with either spoon or whisk. Warm up (30 seconds in microwave) water. Add oil to it and pour over dry ingredients. Start mixing on low speed until all flour is incorporated. ( Mix with wooden spoon if mixing by hand). See what your dough texture is. It has to be soft, but not runny. Add more flour as needed. Knead for 10 minutes until the dough is silky and smooth in texture and does not stick to your hands. Place into oiled container, cover and let rise for 45 minutes. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Take out the dough. Using your fingers, for rectangular. Roll tightly into a log. Pinch the ends and roll one more time lightly for smoother-looking top. Place onto lined baking sheet, cover and let rise for 25 minutes. Mix together egg yolk and 1 tsp milk. Score bread as you wish. Brush with mixture of egg yolk and milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Let cool and enjoy!
