26 Hours On Ben Nevis | 750m Straight Up The West Face Of The CMD Arête | Wildcamp At Halfway Lochan

Amazing 2 day adventure on Ben Nevis. First day was nice and easy, hike up to halfway lochan, wild camp, coffee, rib eye steak, onion and mushroom cream sauce and a decent nights sleep. Second day started with an amazing walk to the CIC hut. From there I walked further the the beginning of a mental scramble/climb straight up the west face of Carn Mor Dearg right onto the arête. This climb was seriously hard and I advice you to make sure you know what’s coming if you try it. It’s hard!! But ok if you done a bit of climbing and are relatively fit. From there it was a lovely walk over the arête and onto the summit. Hike down was hard… I was pretty tired and the pack was heavy. Not much water up top so went a good few hours with no water. Getting to the waterfall where you can drink the finest tasting water ever was amazing. Really enjoyed this adventure.
