The Thunderbird line has always represented performance, technology and luxury since its inception in 1955. In 1989 the Thunderbird was moved from the Mustang Fox Body chassis to a new MN12 platform that dramatically improved ride quality and handling. Painted in a two tone Black with a Silver bottom. This Thunderbird can be delineated as a Super Coupe thanks to the 16" aluminum wheels, lower side-body cladding and embossed lettering on the rear bumper. With independent rear suspension, adjustable shock absorbers and 4-wheel disc brakes the Thunderbird SC holds its own against the competition, both import and domestic. For the range-topping Super Coupe, Ford developed a 3.8l Supercharged V6 engine that was fast and smooth, delivering 210hp and 315lb ft of torque from the factory. The Eaton M90 supercharger delivers a quick response when you touch the throttle and is refined at speed. Paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, this Thunderbird Super Coupe is a smooth cruiser both in town and on the highway. It could be claimed that the interior of this Thunderbird does not represent the mileage on the odometer; it is that clean! The interior has gray swede inserts over black leather, and that blue piping sets it off!
