About EVN ALPHA: EVN ALPHA is a controller we have developed as the Natural evolution to the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 or NXT Controller. We know that the EVN ALPHA will allow students to move beyond the LEGO platform and build the skills they need to contribute to robotics research and the robotics industry. The main features of the EVN ALPHA include: 4 DC Motor Channels that are terminated with both an EV3 compatible connector, and a Pololu compatible connector. They support up to 4A of peak current draw, allowing for motors that consume over 2 times more power than the EV3 Large Motor. 4 Servo Motor Channels extend the actuation capabilities of the robot 16 I2C Channels, achieved by multiplexing 2 I2C controllers from the RP2040 Microcontroller Unit 2 UART Channels 50% smaller than the EV3 volumetrically 64 LEGO Technic Compatible holes on 5 sides (compared with 32 holes on 3 sides for the EV3) User programmable button and LED USB C for program upload and charging Use of removable 18650 Cells Based on the dual core 133MHz RP2040 paired with 246KB of SRAM and 16MB of Flash Memory Can be programmed with Arduino, C/C++, MicroPython, CircuitPython, and other IDEs compatible with the Raspberry Pi Pico Interested to adopt this platform?
