GEAR & DEMOS SHOW 8/15/24 - LOCAL MUSIC STORES GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!😟

Hey, hey... WASSUP everybody! On today's GEAR & DEMOS SHOW we have some recent NGD (New Gear Day) stuff to show you, some of which I got at a nice discount at The Starving Musician store in Berkeley, California.... which is unfortunately going or of business. 😟 Sad times, as this place has been around as far back as I can remember and I have purchased many very cool pieces of gear here including my Steve Vai Carvin Legacy amp head for 300 bucks... what a deal! The sales guy said, "No one plays these 100 watt heads anymore" ... I said oh, really?" Boy... is he wrong! Most recently I picked up some pedals you can see in the thumbnail including some crazy sounding fuzz like noise pedals, the Death By Audio "Supersonic Fuzz Gun" and EarthQuaker Devices "Data Corrupter"... and an MXR Silencer... (B'cuz you got to have that with the noise). Oh... and I got a Dunlop "Tom Morello" Signature Wah and a cool looking little Danelectro "Cool Cat V2 Drive" C0-2 pedal, among other things like guitar straps, cables, etc. As a matter of fact, I shot a video in the store which I'll show during the live stream and fill you in on some secret stuff before posting that on a separate video. I thought it would be cool to give you all a Live Stream Preview for an idea of what's going on there because I think they're pulling the old furniture store going out of business sales trick. Yup... they say they're going out of business with no final closed day announced, yet... though everything in the store Must Go. However, they're bringing inventory that's not selling at other stores to this location... tricky, tricky I know... but I'll take the 35% discounts on pedals and more, any day! And of course the other NGD item in the studio is the Randy Rhoads Jackson Flying V that I picked up after becoming very excited about the new Randy Rhoads Signature MXR Distortion + pedal coming out next week. I've always wanted a Jackson Randy Rhoads V, like the Concord one in vintage white with gold trim that I was looking at, but this Black Pinstriped over Graphite Dark Gray Sparkle late 90s MIJ model really caught my eye, thanks to my good buddy Ron Gunner! This is simply a Heavy Metal BEAST, like the previous Flying V I had in the studio, my Epiphone Richie Faulkner Signature. This thing's equally, if not, better built than that one, with some quality black chrome parts and in like new condition... just needs a setup as the Floyd 1000 bridge is tilted off the body for some reason... an easy fix!
