Scotland a journey to Isle of Luing, Van life (story 3)

This week I would love to take you along to one of my favorite places in the Highlands of Scotland, the slate island of Luing on the west coast, near Oban. It is quite a small island with only about 150 people living there and one of them is my friend Richard, who is a boatbuilder and boat designer. He once showed me how to sail a little master. While I was there this time for a bit more than a week, driving down from Glen Affric with my tiny house on wheels, we had some fun adventures. We went on two bicycle rides, one to isle Seil, which you have to cross from the mainland to even get to Luing, and one over the island itself. Up and down the hills and to the beautiful watersides, where I of cause had to put my feet into the sea. We managed to work on some boat projects, I baked some gluten-free and vegan bread, collected some flowers and we also drove to Oban one day to do some grocery shopping, as we started to run out of porridge. For few nights I slept in the house of my friend, but I very much enjoyed standing on a private, undisturbed property with my campervan, while I was listening to nature sounds. Van life is such a lovely simple lifestyle and feels like absolute joy and freedom. I gained a peaceful mindset through Yoga and watching the clouds leaving shadows over the hills.
