PM’s vison for Digital North East through 8 digital thrust areas namely Digital Infrastructure, Digital Services, Electronics Manufacturing, Digital Empowerment, Promotion of IT/ITES & BPOs, Digital Payments, Innovation & Startups and Cybersecurity will transform NE region. Entrusted by MeitY to implement one of the vision areas of Digital North East such as North East BPO Promotion Scheme (NEBPS), STPI has pitched in to fulfill the vision of PM and successfully implemented the scheme for the NE region. The pioneering work done by STPI to promote BPO sector in North East states has yielded visible results on the ground and today out of 5,000 seats for NEBPS 2,185 seats have already been allocated to 17 companies to establish 24 units across 14 cities of NE region. Pioneering work done by STPI to promote BPO sector in NE states has got a mention by PM in #IndependenceDay2018 speech. It’s a great honour for STPI.
