Just how efficient is Paramotoring?! Documenting the Fuel Burn on the EFI (continued)

Camera man Reese d'Aquin takes to the skies on the all new EFI Moster from Vittorazi. The objective is to find the true fuel burn between two Vittorazi motors; the Atom 80 and the EFI Moster. Neil and Reese on a previous episode had flown a cross country and documented their fuel burn by measuring the weight at the start and finish of their flights. While comparing those numbers alone isn't too scientific as Neil is a lighter pilot, flying an EFI motor, with a more efficient wing, so we decided that we needed to run another test. This time they are now comparing their fuel burn motor vs. motor, and not pilot vs. pilot. They will be using their same wings, but switching their motors to now compare the fuel burn from the previous cross country. This episode documents their flights under the same wind conditions, trim range, and wing, the difference is that each pilot will be flying for an hour on a different motor than previously flown. So for Reese, his last flight was on the Atom 80 and in an hour of flight, trimmed out, heavily loaded on an Ozone Spyder 22 meter, he burned a total of 9.2 lbs (equalling about 5.7 liters per hour). This time using the EFI Moster he burned 7 lbs resulting in a 2 lbs difference between the two flights. These numbers ring nearly identical for Aviators mechanic, Neil. For example on Neil's last flight, he flew the EFI and in an hour of flight the 165 lbs pilot on the Ozone ViperXC 18 meter, burned 5 lbs. This time he flew the Atom 80 on the same wing for the same amount of time, and as we suspected, he burned more fuel (6.8 lbs = 1.8 lbs more than the EFI). Each pilot averaged 2 lbs of fuel burn more on the Atom 80 over the EFI, but what about the standard Moster? Tune in NEXT week for the most scientific test yet.
