CN X473 at CN Blue Bell and Martin Siding. , August 21, 2024. , CN 2973 and 2334 with 40 wood chip cars from Deersdale. , X473 runs as needed between Moncton NB to Joffre Yard Qc and may originate and terminate anywhere in between. I have seen a 473 with general freight, empty potash and even containers, but this was my first time seeing it with a solid string of woodchips. Due to the looming midnight (0100 hrs AT) lockout of engineers and conductors by CN's management, it appears that the decision was made to take the loaded wood chip cars from Irving's Deersdale operation to St. Leonard to interchange with the MNR. The MNR would then take to chips to Saint john on their own route. Otherwise the chips would just sit in Moncton until the lockout was ended.
