Monty on the Run is a side-scrolling platform game in which the player controls Monty Mole, who must escape from Britain and reach the English Channel in order to gain freedom in Europe. The player must navigate through various levels, collecting money and other items along the way, and solving puzzles to progress. The game has a distinctive feature where the player must choose five items from a selection of 21 to form a "Freedom Kit" before starting the game, with the correct selections being essential to complete the game. The game was developed and published by Gremlin Graphics and was released in 1985 for several platforms including the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 16, Plus/4, Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum. It is the third game in the Monty Mole series.
