Adaptive Strategies the TEDX Style Talk

We all have very strategic and brilliant behavioral responses when we are under pressure or experiencing increased stimulus. Those behavioral responses are called Adaptive Strategies. This talk will encourage personal reflection on our behavioral responses and how that shows up in our workplace community and our interpersonal relationships. I discuss how the Adaptive Strategies have served us in protecting our safety, connection, dignity and belonging. I also share what to do in times when the adaptive strategies no longer serve us. As we move through these responses and how they show up in us, I discuss tools for regulating our nervous systems so we can show up as our favorite selves. Understanding ourselves in this way can create connection and community and provide us shared language so we can pause and be in Right Relationship with each other.
