I apologize if it's a little bit much to listen to at first. However, I promise if you make it through the first couple of minutes, it is SO worth it to learn about some of the AMAZING technology this car had to offer, ESPECIALLY for it's time!!! Also, please refer to the pinned comment below for the correct description of the way that Nissan's variable valve timing works in the 300ZX. I was mistaken, and I thought it worked the same way as Honda's VTEC which switches from smaller to larger lobes going from lower to higher RPMs. However, according to a few people that have commented, this car's ECU does not have different size lobes to switch to on the camshaft. In fact, it just advances the timing while keeping the lift and duration of the intake camshaft the same during the intake cycle to allow for more fuel to enter the combustion chamber. That's my understanding of it anyway! Forgive me, and I still hope you enjoy the video nonetheless. What’s goin’ on people?!
