again, after godowsky. i personally felt that the original theme just kinda got cut out after it key-changed to d-flat major, so i wrote this extension to see how i would "complete" it, and this was a result. this is mainly a polyrhythm study involving quintuplets; there are some similarities/allusions to furina --- this is not coincidental; the girdle of the sands was the previous hydro archon (egeria)'s resting place, hence the borrowings. next week, we will stay in sumeru, and i will post a battle theme (after nearly 2 years of not doing so).
