#X570fix #X700fix #FilmPhotography TLDR: Be sure to check your battery cap first, use a multimeter to measure the voltage when a battery is installed in the battery cap... If the reading is below 3V, then there must be corrosion somewhere in the battery cap, replace it with a working one and you may just saved yourself a lot of headache trying to replace the capacitor! I overlooked this simple but serious issue, after replacing capacitors on a Minolta X-700 that I acquired, which appears to show the classic symptom of the failed capacitor (no display with battery inserted) How I discovered the issue is that after replacing the suspected capacitor, the camera is still not functioning properly. I then used the battery cap from my Minolta X570 (which is working perfectly), on my X700, and lo and behold: The X700 worked immediately with a new battery cap! 0:00 Introduction X700/X500/X570 1:26 The Problem 2:50 The Cause
