He then ventured through the now cut "Industrial area" leading to the Entertainment District also known as the Manhack Arcade. Gordon then makes a visit to Kleiner's Lab and escapes via the Consul Plaza and the sewers to The Wasteland which is a dried up seabed. There he destroys the "Air Exchange" factory which was a sign by many to start the uprising. He then makes his way to the arctic region to the Borealis before escaping to the Kraken Base - the largest resistance base which is hidden under water. Alyx and Gordon then make their way back to City 17 via a helicopter but that is shot down and lands in a sky scraper were they fight street to street before finally making it to the Citadel. The tone was much darker!
