In depth analysis of House of the Dragon Season 2. Is House of the Dragon Season 2 Bad? House of the Dragon Season 2 just ended, and to be honest, it was a huge disappointment. Overall, the writing was all over the place and had a lot of other problems which made me think those criticisms about the show were spot on, even the ones from George R. R. Martin himself. For many people, the biggest issue was after all those build-up, the season finale had no pay-off. And considering the fact that we waited almost two years for it, that made it even worse. But for me, the problems with the season were far more fundamental. For example, the portrayal of the Blacks in a much more positive light while turning the Greens into almost villains of the story, Alicent's character assassination, Daemon's repetitive storyline and even all those filler scenes with underdeveloped side characters.
