Blackwattle Bay - Live From The Loungeroom

Usually when performers have new material they test it out on a live audience to see how it goes - but given that i'm locked down in NSW, live audiences are now an increasingly distant memory. So I thought i'd do a little live performance of a new song I have written, called Blackwattle Bay. It's a bit different to what I have put out already, and is a bit more personal. When it is released later this month (September) it might sound quite different! This song is one of those ones that I think will lend itself to being extended, reworked, reconfigured and have a few different iterations. It's basically about how different places can change you, challenge you, help you grow and develop. And sometimes you come to these places, and sometimes you need to leave these places. Blackwattle Bay was where I found The Vidiot character, and had an explosion of creative output, and life lessons, and although my studio won't be based out of there anymore, it will always have a special place in my heart.
