Today I dyed my first rainbow on cotton yarn! Is dyeing not your style, or you aren't ready to jump in headfirst? Our Fibre Reactice Procion dye is mixed using the ratio of 1 teaspoons of dye to 120ml (4oz) of water. For colours with a *, double the amount of dye. For colours with ** use four times the amount of dye. Colours with a T contain turquoise and require heat to achieve true shades. I batched my yarn for 4 hours and also put it into the oven at 50° celsius for one hour. The fibres used today are 8/2 Ring Spun Cotton and 16/4 Saltwater Rose Sparkle Supima cotton.
