Our journey to the small town of Deben in the Northern Cape was nothing short of incredible. It's such a great Northern Cape town to explore! The rugged terrain and vast open spaces created a sense of adventure, and we couldn't wait to see what the little place had in store. One of the most remarkable aspects of this journey was the abundant wildlife we encountered along the way. Nature seemed to come alive as we caught glimpses of various animals in their natural habitat. As the sun began to set, we arrived at Winton Guest Farm where we would be staying overnight. The tranquil atmosphere embraced us as we settled into our accommodation, had a scrumptious dinner. The serenity of a typical Karoo evening enveloped us. The next morning we looked around the farm a little and afterwards made our way to the town of Deben. One of the highlights was visiting the shoe factory, Kalahari Velskoene. We were fascinated by the craftsmanship that went into creating these iconic South African shoes. Another memorable stop was the Doringdraad Pub and Restaurant, a true gem nestled in the heart of Deben, where there is no doubt that serious good times are had in this unique place. The unique charm of this establishment was enhanced by the presence of various animals that roamed around freely.
