Startup Guide for required Drone Mapping Equipment and how to use it

Updtate 2019-11-04 I mostly use a WEN 56202i generator to power my battery chargers for a long day of flying. I purchased the WEN generator from wenproducts.com for about $375. I still keep the 12v battery in my car at all times to be able to charge in case I don't have my generator. For GCP's, I cut a "BowTie" out of a 24" square plywood and I spray-paint Bright Green marking paint on the roadway/hard surface when ever possible. I then drive a small 1" survey nail in the dead center of the bowtie. That way if I ever had to reference it in the future, I can simply respray the bowtie dead center of the nail. Obviously there are times when you still have to throw a target down but I paint whenever possible (It can not be moved, kicked, ran over, etc). I purchased a used Segway X2 (off road version) for running around large properties to help improve line of sight and easy of moving around . A small minibike or 4 wheeler would acomplish the same thing. I did not own a 4 wheeler and for portability I chose the used Segway. ---------------------------------------------- Index is below. In this tutorial, I go over all the equipment that I use and I also show how to setup a tripod base (with laser plumb tribrach) over a known point, and how to use a Prism pole for surveying GCP's. NOTE: I have stopped using the aftermarket charger (blue box). I simply use 2 OEM P4P chargers plugged into my Harbor Freight Inverter. NOTE 2: I now use a 12v Car Vacuum to cool my batteries quickly. I am going to 3D print an adapter to fit the hose the and battery and that will make it perfect. Right now I have to lay the hose and battery so they stay together but with a 3d printed adapter, it will awesome. NOTE 3: I now use a WEN 2000W generator and man do I love that generator!! I use it do run 2 fans, and 3+ chargers. It is also super quiet! I got it on the WENProducts.com website for $359. Very happy with that purchase.
