Sega Genesis Mini Hacked / Overclocked - SFZ3 / S3&K / PC Doom / Wolfenstein 3D / Streets Of Rage

I have been modding many of these Mini consoles but latley more so the Sega Genesis Mini ( First version , not the new one that looks like a Model 2 console and has Sega CD games on it ). I did what I would normally do when over clocking the Super Nintendo Classic Edition consoles, put PC Doom on there with Sigil episode among the original 4 episodes , adding the classic CPS-2 and CPS-3 Capcom fighters such as the Alpha series Street Fighters , Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and of course Street Fighter 3 Third Strike as well as even Super Puzzle Fighter II for once! Considering that the Genesis mini has less space then the Super Nintendo Classic Edition console due to more games being stored on the internal storage by default, the Arcade games took up a chunk of space but unlike the SNES Classic I can use the very desired 6 button Sega Genesis controller Via USB as well as a Sega Saturn model 2 USB ( both available from Retrobit ) . With that being said I could not really add much more to my Sega Genesis Mini as far as Sega Genesis Roms were concerned. I did add all the neccesary versions of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 considering that due to arguably rights to Michael Jackson's music being involed in the game is the main reason why these Mini consoles from Sega or even any rereleases at all of Sonic 3 ( And Knuckles ) has not seen the light of day pretty much since his death unless if the OST is different. I did show a little gameplay of the Brazilian Duke Nukem 3D Mega Drive port as well as the recent years Wolfenstein 3D Mega Drive port as well which this console outside of the 32X does have some First Person Shooter love to say the least. I also added Bare Knuckle III hack (Streets of Rage 3) where Akuma from Street Fighter is a playable character and my god, it is amazing playing as him. I think its better then the Streets of Rage II hack where you can play as Ryu , Ken or Guile. Of course you will see in the video that first attempt trying to play the Rom with the English language set to standard in the Genesis Mini interface will cause a prompt to appear when loading the ROM to say " This is a Mega Drive game that needs to be played in France region" which like man of the game stock on the Sega Genesis Mini , if you change the language to a different region / language you will get different versions of the available games to play which even the NES/ SNES classic did not have the capability of to my understanding. Once changing it to French or Japanese , you will then be able to play the Bare Knuckle III hack as Akuma as shown in this captured footage. This footage was captured with an Elgato HD60 at 720p 60 FPS. All games except for PC Doom were played with the Retrobit Sega Genesis 6 button USB controller , PC Doom was able to be played with a PlayStation Classic USB controller that came with that mini console ( which makes life alot easier instead of trying to map buttons to a 6 button Genesis USB controller and then messing up configurations and settings within Retro Arch / the Genesis mini and having to reload the Kernel of Hakchi and starting all over again! ) Which by the way yes this is hacked with Hakchi and the 1.9 Retro Arch Xtream, not the 1.8! Please people if you are going to do this hack on any mini console and decide to use Retroarch Xtreme... what ever you do pick the 1.9 version NOT THE 1.8! Trust me ! SB would not steer you wrong! I also like the SNES Classic edition used Corsair XTM50 Thermal Paste on both the CPU and the accompanied copper heat plates to cool the CPU down for when it overclocks and normally operates and added a few extra mini heat fin blocks on the heat sync as well to help reduce / regulate air flow within the internals of the console. All and all I really like modding the first line Sega Genesis Mini's that Sega and M2 official released, once again not the second line that was an amazon exclusive that plays the Sega CD games w/ about 8 gb of storage onboard. Its a fun and relatively easy mod to create. The luxury of having a 6 button pad for some arcade fighters or even just that floating D pad is amazing in its self. I noticed though when I modded the console I used in this capture my Dr.Robotniks Mean Bean Machine ROM that came with the console stock has been corrupted and will not load since I initially did the mod. and I recently did another one of these mods and I had to delete a quarter of the stock ROMs in order to have a majority of the Arcade ROMs you seen in this capture, and PC Doom was not playing right on the second console I modded control wise so I removed it and in it's place put in Marvel Vs Capcom . ^ Now , in that instance because I bought it off of somebody used and the console was physically filthy I had to clean it with Alcohol and wipe it down. the user prior could of made a bunch of save states that was occupying space for me to move the ROMs I wanted to add on it. Just be weary if you plan to mod these Genesis Mini console
