Rennes, France ~ 11 Fun Things to Do in Brittany's Capital City

Rennes, France is a beautiful and historic city in the Brittany region of northern France. We went there to visit with our friends who live in France and have all at one point or another lived in Rennes. We had three local tour guides! They showed us around the city the way only a local could, sharing stories about landmarks and their favorite haunts. Every Saturday, Rennes hosts the second-largest market in France. We walked up and down the rows of vendors selling everything under the sun. We ate a (somewhat) traditional lunch of galettes with cider, accompanied by unique ice cream complements to each of our galettes. It was a fun addition to a traditional Breton meal. However, we’ll make sure to pass on the cider next time. It gave Jen hives! Rennes is a fun city to walk around and take in the sights, and it’s a great place to spend time with friends.
