This was a thrift store find, a 1985 Marshall Lead 12. It was in desperate need for attention with dirty pots, bad caps, a torn speaker, and lots of cosmetic flaws. I give it a fairly thorough restoration (without completely recovering it), and I restore its function completely. For a solid state bedroom amp, it sure captures a lot of the classic Marshall sound. Who am I? I'm just a hobbyist, not a luthier. I've picked up a few skills along the way, and I continue to learn.
