Five measures before Rehearsal 4, there is a slight ritard to accommodate a breath leading back to a tempo in the next measure. Leading into the Recit., the tempo slows to Quarter note = 98bpm. The fermata is twice as slow. The cadenza should be timed to play freely. Tempo for the Adagio is Quarter note = 100bpm. Tempo at energico is slightly faster at Quarter note = 103bpm. The accompaniment continues in time. At Rehearsal 16 the tempo jumps to Quarter note = 110bpm. The tempo is slightly slower the measure before the final pesante.
