1971 Yamaha FG-300 Nippon Gakki Japan Hummingbird

Interested in this guitar? It’s for SALE! Call (515) 864-6136 Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting... An awesome Made in Japan, Yamaha FG 300...the Cadillac of the Nippon Gakki Yamaha's and this one is terrific.... I grab these whenever I have a chance and have sold at least 2 dozen of these over our Selling years. Everyone of our customers have been thrilled with theirs.... This one sounds, looks and plays great. Jeff the Tech checked it out and set her up.. now she is ready to work for another 50 years! We can’t tell what year this one is. The Red Label Made in Japan FG300 started in 1969 and changed to Green labels in 1972. It would have been a 1969 thru 1971…Its one of those years. These were made in Japan and of course were made to compete with the Gibson Hummingbirds...check out the original Pickguard. They are usually missing but we have the original with this cool guitar. It is not cracked and its in fantastic well secured to the body.....the Pickguard graphics are nice and bright and it looks great ..see pics..... These are really high quality guitars. It has a Spruce Top, Rosewood Fingerboard, Rosewood Back and Sides and is even X braced. The guitar has a 25 inch scale neck and the nut measures 1 3/4 inches. Finger Pickers will like that. The body is classified as a Jumbo its 16 inches wide at the lower bout and meaures 40 1/2 inches in total length. The guitar is all original. It has the original nut, Yamaha metal Truss Rod cover, Yamaha branded deluxe tuners, Floral Pickguard, and original adjustable bridge. How about that original hang tag we got with this guitar! Its in beautiful shape! This one is even cooler in the fact that the previous owner had installed a K&K Style Passive Pickup system in it. These guitars always sound great acoustically, but this is the first I have heard with a pickup and it sounds awesome. No batteries. Its passive. All controls will be on your amp or preamp. No controls for volume or tone installed on the guitar. Very discreat. Also, easy to uninstall if desired. See pic 13. Jeff the Tech did a great job setting it up with easy playing low action. New 12 gauge Phosphorus Bronze Strings! Its a pleasure to play. Plenty of room to raise or lower the action on the adjustable bridge. It plays and sounds great. Huge sound from this Jumbo! This cool Yamaha Guitar comes complete with the original Hard Shell case that fits it great. The case is in great shape. Not the Yamaha case but one thats been with this guitar a long time. Much more substantial than the Yamaha cases. All latches, hinges and handle are present, but the end latch is missing its latcher... It still closes securely with the other latches. The red interior is very nice...see pics.. It is made in Japan and has the original Nippon Gakki Red label inside the sound hole. See pic 5.. An awesome guitar .... Some lucky Guitar Player is going to be very happy when they get this one.. It is sold as-is no returns as its vintage and used. Thank for respecting that.
